Review this piece

What takes me elsewhere when I am here?
tab I feel the warm Pacific as I stroll along the strand
tab ebbing evening tides pull me, Elsewhere
tab to carefree sun-filled days catching wild Atlantic rollers
tab
meeting challenges of life with energy, laughter, delight.
Now on this side of the continent so many years gone by
I am at peace with gentler waves
that give serenity to my life.

tab I wander past a fence entwined with scarlet blooms
tab perfumed bull-blown roses pull me, Elsewhere
tab to hollyhocks and daisy chains and chatter in tiny rooms
tab middle child of many I stood my ground, certain I was right.
Now on this side of the continent so many years gone by
I am at peace with the compromise
that gives serenity to my life.

tab Two boys, one girl with auburn hair frolic with a kite
tab sight and breezes seize my heart to pull me, Elsewhere
tab I quelled their fears of atomic bombs in a world of senseless wars
tab then in silence ached as they scattered to live their separate lives.
Now on this side of the continent so many years gone by
I am at peace with remembrances
that give serenity to my life.

tab I hear the Universe’s song of glory to a rising moon
tab the majesty of a star-pierced sky lures me, Elsewhere
tab his voice through romantic nights glimmered with promised dreams
tab death severed us, no comfort found except the inner spirit as a guide.
Now on this side of the continent so many years gone by
I am at peace knowing there is but Now
and the serenity in my life.
